TOP WOMEN'S GAME

West Florida (15-3, 6-0) at #23 Valdosta State (13-5, 4-2)--Saturday 2 p.m. EST

To say this is a must-win game for the Lady Blazers is definitely an understatement. After all, not only did VSU lose a game it was supposed to win, a 47-42 setback at Montevallo, the Lady Blazers also fell one game behind arch-rival West Georgia (12-7, 5-1) for second place in the Gulf South Conference East Division. Now VSU must face a red-hot UWF squad that has won nine straight games, with the latest win coming over West Alabama 79-57 Monday night.

TOP MEN'S GAMES

Columbus State (14-4, 8-1) at Armstrong Atlantic State (13-4, 7-3)--Saturday 4 p.m. EST
Clayton State (14-3, 7-3) at GC&SU (11-5, 8-2)--Saturday 7:30 p.m. EST

It's getting crowded at the top of the Peach Belt Conference, at least in the men's basketball standings, as CSU took over sole possession of first place after beating the Bobcats 86-81 at home on Wednesday. Now the red-hot Cougars, winners of eight straight contests, must take their act on the road in hopes of extending their winning streak to nine in a row. On the other hand, GC&SU hopes to bounce back against a Clayton State team that has come on strong since starting PBC play at 0-2, with one of those losses coming to the Bobcats in Morrow, Ga. on Dec. 3.
