2006 D-II SOUTH SPORTS SPRING PREVIEW--PEACH BELT CONFERENCE SOFTBALL

NOTE: Our preseason spring sports outlook continues with a preview of Peach Belt Conference softball.

Kennesaw State and North Florida may have moved on to the NCAA Division I ranks, but the Peach Belt Conference will look to make the most of its new beginning, with USC Upstate looking to improve on its record-setting 2005 season, as the Spartans finished 46-15, and advanced to the NCAA tournament. But teams like Columbus State (who won the PBC tournament last season, and advanced to NCAA regional play) and Francis Marion may very well have a say in who comes out on top. Also, North Georgia, who advanced to the NAIA tournament in its final season in that organization, joins the PBC for the first time in 2006.
