After winning a 57-56 thriller over Gulf South Conference West Division arch-rival Delta State Monday night, the Lady Reddies must avoid a letdown, as they pay a visit to UAM to face the Cotton Blossoms. Believe it or not, if the regular season right now, the Cotton Blossoms would get the nod for the GSC West's fifth and final spot in the GSC tournament in Tupelo, Miss, despite their so-so record.

With Delta State steadily separating itself from the rest of the GSC West pack, the game between the Reddies and Boll Weevils is especially huge, considering UAM currently sits alone in second place, while HSU is one of three teams currently in a three-way logjam for third place. The Boll Weevils have won three games in a row, while the Reddies will try to bounce back after losing a 67-63 heartbreaker to the Statesmen.
