MUST SEE GAMES--02/19/2005

NOTE: With so many important games on this, the next-to-last Saturday of the regular season, we at D-II South Sports will abandon our regular routine, and focus on multiple key games at once. So, here goes!

TOP WOMEN'S GAMES:

Montevallo (15-9, 7-4) at West Florida (16-8, 8-3)--Saturday 2 p.m. CST

The Falcons fly to Pensacola to face the Argonauts in hopes of gaining at least a share of first place in the Gulf South Conference East Division.

West Alabama (13-11, 5-6) at Valdosta State (18-4, 8-3)

The Tigers hit the road to face the Lady Blazers in another key GSC East game. UWA finds itself in a must-win situation after losing at Alabama-Huntsville 85-78 Monday night, while VSU has lost back-to-back games, both on the road, to West Georgia and Lincoln Memorial, respectively.

TOP MEN'S GAMES:

Columbus State (16-7, 9-4) at Lander (16-8, 9-4)--Saturday 6 p.m. EST

Both teams fight for seeding position for the upcoming Peach Belt Conference tournament. The Cougars are tied with Clayton State for second place in the PBC South, while the Bearcats currently sit in sole possession of second place in the PBC North.

Other key games this Saturday include:

Clayton State (16-11, 9-4) at Augusta State (14-10, 7-6)--Saturday 7:30 p.m. EST
West Georgia (21-3, 9-2) at Alabama-Huntsville (13-11, 6-5)--Saturday 7 p.m. EST
