BASEBALL REGIONAL ROUND-UP

In the South Central Regional at Arkadelphia, Ark., it wasn't a good day to be a higher seed, or even a representative from the Gulf South Conference West Division for that matter, as top seed Ouachita Baptist and second seed Delta State both lost in round one. On the other hand, third seed Montevallo from the GSC East was the lone higher seed to win a game after the first day.

And in the South Regional at Tampa, Fla., the defending national champion University of Tampa Spartans downed SIAC champion Stillman College 5-3.
