BASEBALL REGIONAL ROUND-UP--DAY TWO

Day two of NCAA Division II regional baseball tournament action is in the books, and already one top seed has seen its season end all too soon. Plus, one D-II South Nation team takes out its frustration on a bottom seed, and two others are left out in the dark during a Friday contest.

Elsewhere at the South Atlantic Regional, Georgia College & State University drew a date against top seed and host Mount Olive with 3-1 over USC Aiken Friday at Kinston, N.C.

Back at the South Central Regional, Montevallo held an 8-4 lead over West Florida going into the seventh inning, but darkness forced the suspension of that contest. Play will resume at 9 a.m. CDT Saturday.

In the South Regional, the Stillman College Tigers give the Florida Southern Mocs all they can handle, only to see their season end with an 8-7 loss.

Finally, in the South Atlantic Regional, Armstrong Atlantic State can't hold the lead against Mount Olive, as the fourth-seeded Pirates were eliminated by the top-seeded Trojans 4-2 in 10 innings Friday.
