The Lady Jaguars play host to the Lady Cougars in the Peach Belt Conference opener for both teams. The CSU women enter the new year on a five-game winning streak, with Tuskegee becoming its most recent victim in a 61-56 win in their own Holiday Classic last Saturday. Meanwhile, Augusta State has won four straight contests, with the most recent victory a 76-67 triumph over Converse last Friday.

The Cougars travel from one end of Georgia to the other to open Peach Belt Conference, as they face the surprising Jaguars. The CSU men have won seven of their last nine games since starting the season 0-2 under interim head coach Doug Branson, who replaced the retired Herbert Greene. Augusta State had a four-game winning streak snapped last weekend, as the Jaguars fell to Catawba 92-70.
