Speaking of the Lady Falcons, they also hope to move one step closer to advancing to the GSC tournament should they pull off the upset. But the Montevallo women will need to bounce back quickly after losing at West Florida 76-61 Saturday.

UWF needs a win over UWA, as well as a road victory over VSU to clinch the top seed in the GSC East. Meanwhile, the Tigers need to win their two games, and hope for at least one loss by Lincoln Memorial to clinch no worse than the fifth seed in the division.

Thanks to their 83-71 win over West Florida, combined with third-ranked West Georgia's 88-65 upset loss at Alabama-Huntsville, both on Saturday night, the Falcons now have sole possession of first place in the Gulf South Conference East Division. Now the defending GSC champion Falcons hope to move one step closer to clinching the GSC East title with a win over the Blazers. Speaking of the VSU men, they still have an outside shot of gaining one of the top two seeds for the upcoming Gulf South Conference tournament. However, the Blazers need wins over both UM and West Florida, plus a lot of help.
