The Lady Pirates travel to Morrow, Ga. Wednesday night to take on the Lakers in a battle for first place in the Peach Belt Conference South Division. AASU got by Augusta State 55-51 last Saturday (01/08/2005) despite shooting just 29.7 percent for the contest. On the other handClayton State posted wins over North Florida and Francis Marion to go 2-0 in the PBC for the first time in school history. AASU will put a four-game winning streak on the line, while CCSU looks for its fourth straight win.

Francis Marion (7-5, 2-0) at USC Upstate (10-3, 2-0)
After splitting their first 10 games, the Patriots have started 2-0 in PBC action, thanks to a narrow 64-63 win over Lander on Jan. 5, and a 54-47 win at Clayton State three days later. Meanwhile, the Spartans have reeled off three straight wins, including victories over USC Aiken and North Florida to open PBC play. The winner of this contest takes over sole possession of first place in the PBC North Division.
