Softball/Baseball Update--Part 2

It's baseball's turn in this second installment of our spring sports update, exclusively at D2SS.  So what are we waiting for?  Let's get started!

Gulf South Conference:  One of the hottest teams in the nation is also currently ranked No. 1 in the nation by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, in West Florida (35-4, 10-1 GSC)The Argonauts, who are also tops in the NCBWA poll, currently lead the East Division, and riding a 21-game winning streak.  In the West Division, Arkansas Tech (24-13, 10-2) sits in first place, while No. 16 (CBN) Harding (32-7, 9-3) stands one game behind the Wonder Boys in second place.

Peach Belt Conference: It's a tale of two divisions in the "Belt", as No. 12 (CBN)/No. 24 (NCBWA) Francis Marion (30-10, 13-5), No. 20/No. 25 Armstrong Atlantic State (27-10, 10-5), and No. 7/No. 16 UNC Pembroke (32-7, 13-7) are all locked in a three-way battle for first place in the East Division.  On the other hand, there's no clear cut favorite in the West Division, with No. 19 (CBN) Columbus State (26-14, 10-8) currently sitting in first place, while No. 24 Georgia College (25-14, 9-9), Georgia Southwestern (23-16, 9-9), and Augusta State (19-24, 9-12) trailing by just one game in the win column.

SIAC: Two teams are undefeated in their respective divisions so far.  Benedict (23-9, 9-0) currently leads the East Division, with Albany State (21-16, 8-1) trailing by one game, while Stillman (19-15, 9-0) has a commanding three-game lead over Miles (18-13, 6-3) and Tuskegee (9-14, 6-3) in the West Division.
