Valdosta State softball falls short in title bid

The Valdosta State University softball team loses its shot to win a national championship, as the Lady Blazers lost to Hawaii Pacific, 4-3, in the NCAA Division II title game at St. Joseph, Mo. Monday. Also, North Georgia also fell short in its quest to go unbeaten, losing to VSU and Metro State (Colo.).
